My husband and I have been talking about taking a vacation this fall.  Technically it’s later than most people take their vacations, since summer is already over — at least according to the school year and the tourist season.  But I personally feel it’s never too late to take a vacation.

We haven’t been on many vacations lately.  A couple of years ago we took vacations every couple of months, albeit short ones, and they were just road trips to go visit his family in the next state over.  But this year his family has moved out here to be closer to us, and as a result we have gone on many fewer trips.

We also used to take occasional trips just on our own.  We stayed in the mountains one time, and went down to Santa Fe, New Mexico another time.  But we haven’t really gone anywhere this year at all.

We are talking about taking a vacation again, though.  We’ve talked about going somewhere warm, just as fall is setting in.  It’ll be a nice extension of summer, and it won’t be as busy then, either.  A Sunquest vacation would probably be really nice!  They have some really good all inclusive vacations to Caribbean islands, which sounds like just the thing!
