Garage Plans for Kids Coming Home from College

Parents are often terrified when their kids first move away from home to go to college. But soon enough, parents get used to the idea and start thinking of the home as just their space again. This can be a problem when kids come home from college.
One of the best ways to maintain the parents’ newfound space while still welcoming kids home from college is to think about house plans that will create the most space for the kids without infringing on the parents. To do this, people often look at garage plans that can turn this space into a place for the kids.
Many people find that the garage can be converted into a bedroom which kids can use when they are home from college. If they’re coming from a dorm, they are used to the small space. And they’ll probably appreciate the privacy enough not to care that they’re being put in the garage!
Alternatively, parents may find that they want to create storage space in the garage where kids can keep their stuff when they come to visit. This reduces the amount of mess that the kids bring home with them even if they have to sleep on the couch or in the guest room.
You want to be able to have your kids come back but you don’t want to have to hold a room for them at all times until they return. The garage can be a great place to create a space for them that’s designed to be temporary.
