Hawaii Vacation Planning Checklist
Posted by fsReview on 11/22/08 in General
Hawaii vacations are so much fun, pretty much the quintessential American vacation, but they also require a lot of planning that you shouldn’t overlook. Here are a few things you should be sure you do when planning your Hawaii vacation.
- Shop around for vacation packages. You can get some really good Hawaii vacation deals if you are savvy enough to shop around — particularly if you shop online. Look for inclusive packages that include all the things you would actually be doing, with or without the vacation packages — dining out, activity and equipment rentals, etc.
- Call the travel agency or hotel directly. Often there are charges added onto the package price or daily rate, so anytime you are considering a Maui vacation rental, you should call and ask what the total price will be.
- Don’t forget about food, souveniers, and activities. When planning your vacation, don’t forget to budget for all the little extras you are sure to be tempted by. You have to eat, of course; and what is the point of a vacation if you don’t do something fun should you want to? And then there is everyone at home that you need to get “a little something” for. That’s why vacation packages can actually be much more economical than many people think — they often include activities and dining out!
